Theresa May, the prime minister who has taken to vetting who can attend her media events, and who has refused to debate with the leader of the opposition ahead of the general election, gets 30 minutes under Andrew Neil’s grill.
Having seen half of her popularity rating eaten away by Jeremy Corbyn over the past week and public outrage at the proposed ‘dementia tax’ and social care changes, Mrs May will need to show she is the leader many believe her to be.
Never usually one to give an easy ride to a politician, it will be interesting to see whether Mr Neil, a former editor of the Sunday Times, has had his questions vetted by Team Theresa.
The Andrew Neil Interviews: Theresa May – Monday 7.00pm on BBC 1.
