We have now reached the quarter-finals, and this week Joe Lycett’s sewers are tackling British and Irish fabrics in their challenges.
For the pattern challenge, the sewers need to create a “worker’s jacket” out of linen, for which they need to follow judge Patrick Grant’s exact personal pattern. In the transformation challenge, the sewers must turn fabrics from the British seaside such as stripy deckchairs into stylish clothes in 90 minutes. The finale sees the sewers having to source their own wool to create made-to-measure coats.
The Great British Sewing Bee is on BBC Two at 21.00.
