ITV’s crime and Punishment season culminates with the debut episode of the second episode of Mark Williams-Thomas’ – an ex police investigator – explosive documentary series which delves into the murky world of British crime and unexplained cold-cases. “This is one of the most complex and worrying investigations I have ever undertaken… I believe many of these women could be the undetected victims of serial killers. And the prime suspects I investigate – Peter Tobin and Angus Sinclair – are two of the most evil men I have ever encountered” Williams-Thomas stated, with the new episodes promising more shocks, discoveries and intrepid investigation than the series’ first season last year.
In this three-part series Mark Williams-Thomas, the award-winning former police detective who unmasked Jimmy Savile as the UK’s most notorious paedophile, delves into a number of cold-case murders which he suspects could be linked to notorious killers Angus Sinclair and Peter Tobin in a spate of undetected serial killings. Starting with the unsolved death of 18 year old Louise Kay in Eastbourne, Williams-Thomas finds himself travel all over the country, investigating cold-cases as far north as Glasgow – the very place Angus Sinclair called home. As it becomes the cases begin to line up and with the two suspected killers both now old men behind bars, the retired detective must cross any boundary, ask any question and go further, without limitations, than anyone before him as he races to give the families of the victims justice before it’s too late.
