In 1955 the model Ruth Ellis was found guilty of murdering her lover, racing driver David Blakely. She was last woman to be hanged in the UK.
This documentary, aired over three nights and looks into the history of the case, which today is seen in a new light. Ellis not only had to contend with the sexism of the 1950s, but now more evidence has come to light about what really happened, with many people today campaigning to get her a posthumous pardon.
