Strangers Robert Shefran, Edward Galland and David Kellman actually look very similar. There’s a good reason for this: they were triplets separated at birth.
Each one of the triplets was adopted by a different family in New York State, and it was only by chance at the age of 19 that the trio discovered that they were actually all related to each other. The discovery made them famous, and in the 1980s they became well known. However, over the course of this documentary made over five years, the story of the adoption took on a much darker turn.
Three Identical Strangers is on Channel 4 at 21.00.
