Tonight is make-or-break time as the motoring programme has possible it’s most divisive presenting line-up ever.
While Chris Harris has remained, he is now joined by comedian Paddy McGuinness and former England cricketer Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff. A lot is riding on the way the trio interact, who have previously not worked together before. This could ruin the programme, but on the other hand it might have a new successful formula on its hands.
In the first episode, the trio test their first cars in the middle of Ethiopia, while Harris tests the Ferrari 488 Pista and McLaren 600LT on the track. Bob Mortimer is the star in the reasonably fast car.
Top Gear is on BBC Two at 20.00.
