Form suggests that Leipzig’s opportunity has been and gone after failing to build an advantage at the Red Bull Arena, and they will succumb to City’s quality – but many’s the slip twixt the cup and the lip. So don’t rule them out.
At Estádio do Dragão in tonight’s other Round of 16 match, FC Porto take on Internazionale. The visitors won 1-nil in Milan but have lost two of their last three games in Serie A. Yet though they are not the swashbuckling side of a couple of seasons ago they are a strong defensive unit. The Dragão can be an intimidating atmosphere if the crowd sense blood so the imperative will be on the visitors to take the sting out of the game and protect their advantage.
