At the edge of Europe, Georgia has a booming surrogacy market. Prospective parents from all over the globe turn to low-price clinics, where protection of the surrogate mothers is not enforced.
In the Black Sea city of Batumi, Anja meets a wealthy mother caring for 21 babies under two years old. An agency organised all the births using surrogates who were vetted and she doesn’t know who the women are.
