That’s right, Mr Murray has been shunted out of our collective consciousness as the storming performances of Johanna Konta see her on the brink of greatness. Venus Williams is the considerable obstacle between Johanna and a place in the singles final, a place in Wimbledon lore and a shot at her first Grand Slam title. So today is a day of firsts for Ms Konta and with a win, she will be the first British woman to reach the Center Court showpiece since Virginia Wade in 1977. Go, girl!
