The final of the women’s tournament arrives today, with two people outside of the single figure seeds up for the Venus Rosewater Dish.
The final is between the No. 14 seed Garbiñe Muguruza of Spain, and former champions and No. 10 seed Venus Williams, who is in her first Wimbledon final since 2009 after defeat Johanna Konta, who in time honoured tradition, is no longer British but Australian, because the English are so fickle (see also Andy Murray now being Scottish again).
Last year the final was won by Venus’s sister Serena, so can the dish return to the Williams family once again?
Wimbledon is on BBC One at 13.00.
