Preview: Wolves v Manchester Utd

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Manchester United

Monday Night Football, don’t you just love it? At the end of the worst day of the week, you can sit back and fill your boots with two decent footballing sides going at it at Molineux.

Truth told, Nuno Espirito Santo should have won Premier League Manager of the Season for what he achieved with newly promoted Wolves last term.  Semi finalists in the FA Cup and seventh in the league, which earned them Europa League football, these are heady days in WV1.

Away days to Molineux are anything but easy – regardless of your reputation – United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all been beaten here in the past 12 months.

United arrive as a work in progress, Ole Solskjaer has invested considerably to reinvigorate his squad –  and a good win over Chelsea on match day one will have boosted confidence –  but this is a season of transition for the Manchester club and I suspect a point would be looked on positively.

This is the first home game of the season at Molineux and the fans and team will be right up for it. Verdict = Points in the bag for Wolves.
