The England men’s football team are, as we know, pretty dismal. The women’s team however is the fifth best in the world.
The Lionnesses were runner’s up in the last European tournament and third in the 2015 World Cup. They are kicking off their Euro 2017 campaign in the Netherlands against the Scots, who are making their debut in the competition. This automatically makes the Scottish women’s team better than the men’s as the men didn’t even get to Euro 2016 in the first place.
The tournament is split between Channel 4 and Eurosport so there is a choice of commentary and punditry.
Women’s Euro 2017 is on Channel 4 at 19.00 and Eurosport 2 at 19.30 (kick-off 19.45).
