AJ Odudu hosts as the second series of the gruelling reality competition continues, on the uninhabited islands of Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. There’s double the drama, and double the money up for grabs, as two teams go head-to-head to get their hands on a £200,000 jackpot. The 16 strangers must put aside their egos and differences to tackle the ultimate test of physical ability, mental skill and teamwork, as they race to build a bridge over 1,000 feet of water in just 12 days to reach the cash, which lies below a tower on an island between two beaches. But there’s a twist: only one person from the winning team can take home this huge prize. Adventurer and explorer Aldo Kane joins the competitors to oversee challenges that will test the teams’ nerves and ability. Along the way, the teams face surprise dilemmas and devious temptations, as we discover who is prepared to deceive their teammates for personal gain. Working together is key, but in this pressure-cooker environment, everyone must decide who to trust and, most importantly, who is worthy of the £200k. In the third episode, it’s day five of the competition, and the teams finally discover that they’re not alone: this is a race, and only one member of the team that reaches the island first is in for a shot at the £200k prize. With both teams way behind schedule, will this new information inject a much-needed burst of energy into their builds? As David and Alex return to their original teams to dish the dirt on their rivals, it isn’t long before the teams are separated again for another challenge. Two members of each team are forced to make a decision: do they take 10 anchors back to help their bridge build, or pocket £10k? If they opt for the cash, it must be kept a secret from their teammates
