The Bridge: Race to a Fortune

The Bridge: Race to a Fortune

AJ Odudu hosts as the second series of the gruelling reality competition continues, on the uninhabited islands of Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. There’s double the drama, and double the money up for grabs, as two teams go head-to-head to get their hands on a £200,000 jackpot. The 16 strangers must put aside their egos and differences to tackle the ultimate test of physical ability, mental skill and teamwork, as they race to build a bridge over 1,000 feet of water in just 12 days to reach the cash, which lies below a tower on an island between two beaches. But there’s a twist: only one person from the winning team can take home this huge prize. Adventurer and explorer Aldo Kane joins the competitors to oversee challenges that will test the teams’ nerves and ability. Along the way, the teams face surprise dilemmas and devious temptations, as we discover who is prepared to deceive their teammates for personal gain. Working together is key, but in this pressure-cooker environment, everyone must decide who to trust and, most importantly, who is worthy of the £200k. In the sixth episode, it’s day eight, and the teams are neck and neck, but fractures are starting to show in both camps. North Beach decide that now is the time for a reconnaissance mission, and set out to their rivals’ beach in the dead of night… Elsewhere, the long hours, hard graft and difficult conditions are taking their toll on even the strongest members of the teams. With morale at a low, what will they do when faced with a choice: abandon your team and jack it all in for a chance to walk away with £25,000 of the prize money? It sounds like a done deal, but nothing comes for free…
