Crime-comedy caper from Tom Davis, James De Frond, Steve Stamp, Allan Mustafa and Hugo Chegwin. Set in London in the early 1980s, The Curse follows a gang of hopeless small-time crooks who find themselves embroiled in one of the biggest gold heists in history. A deeply troubled Albert (Mustafa) throws himself into smelting gold as fast as Billy (Ramon Tikaram) can sell it on. The money is rolling in thick and fast, but it’s dirty money – and Billy tells the gang they can’t spend any of it yet. He’s set up a meeting with The Baptist (Mathias Junge), a high-end Swiss money launderer, but not all of the gang are invited. Along with Phil (Chegwin) receiving some ominous orders from elsewhere, the cracks are beginning to show in the gang’s friendships.
