Film of the day: The Jesus Rolls

The Jesus Rolls - John Tuturro

The Jesus Rolls is a remake of 1974’s Going Places and is an irreverent crime comedy written, directed in which John Turturro, reprises the role of Jesus Quintana from the Coen brothers’ The Big Lebowski.

Fresh out of prison, Jesus and his friend Petey (Bobby Cannavale) embark on a crime spree around New York. Along the way they pick up Marie (Audrey Tautou) – who is more than happy to take part in the pair’s police dodging as their criminal activity escalates. But as the group aimlessly joyride around the city, their options start to run out.

With cameos from Susan Sarandon, Pete Davidson, Jon Hamm and Christopher Walken.
