A United Kingdom tells the true story of Prince Seretse Khama, heir to the throne of Botswana, and his controversial marriage to London-born Ruth Williams.
Meeting in London in 1947, their plans to marry are brought the the attention of the British Government, who attempt to stop it. We see the issues faced by the couple, and how their lives together are affected.
With excellent performances from both David Oyelowo and Rosamund Pike as the leads, this charming British film is an excellent addition to the Sky Cinema listings.
