A trailer for the sequel to the 2003 surprise comedy hit Johnny English has been unveiled ahead of the film’s release on October 7.
Johnny English: Reborn sees Rowan Atkinson return in his role as 00-clumsy, with the blundering detective set to take on a group of international assassins before they eliminate a world leader and cause global chaos.
Returning to screens after an 8 year absence, English once again throws aside his dignity for the sake of the country, attempting to get to grips with a range of high tech weapons in order to unravel a conspiracy running through the heart of KGB, CIA and MI-7.
The film’s predecessor was certainly a surprise at the box office, pulling in an impressive profit of $161 million in cinema ticket sales across the globe, despite only taking $28 million in the US.
