As July 20 inches ever closer, here’s the third trailer for the concluding film in Nolan’s new Batman Trilogy – The Dark Knight Rises.
If you’re worried about spoilers, it might be wise to give this a miss as your monitor and speakers definitely aren’t going to do it justice.
We get a better look at Tom Hardy as Bane (and is that fear on Bruce Wayne’s face? Surely not!) – and he now rumbles his lines much more audibly than he did in past trailers (could Warners have tidied the audio up by any chance?). There’s also some more from Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle and a few lines from Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Batman himself seems to show no signs of laying off the gravel cocktails and will likely be continuing down the path to full on Strepsil addiction. There’s plenty of things that go boom (alarmingly) and an appearance of a certain Bat-vehicle…
As far as superhero flicks go, it’s Avengers Assemble that’s the one to beat at the moment. But as this is a whole together…um…darker outing for costumed crusaders, it can probably find its own niche.
Christian Bale leads an all-star cast with Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Marion Cotillard. It’s out July 20th. Put it in your diary.
