Hosted by Liam Charles and Tom Allen, the toughest Bake Off on TV continues, as teams of pastry chefs from top hotels, restaurants and small businesses compete to be crowned best patisserie team in Britain. The teams face testing challenges judged by world-class patisserie experts Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden. The five remaining teams from this heat face two even tougher challenges, which demand patisserie perfection in every part. In the first challenge, the teams tackle cone-shaped desserts and master the art of illusion by creating carrot-shaped desserts, which must taste of anything but. They must make 24 perfect and identical items of each pastry… all in just three and a half hours. In the second challenge, the teams create a grand occasion showpiece – a Religieuse a l’Ancienne – to serve 24 people, with two different flavours of eclairs inspired by the theme of time travel. Which teams will master their magnificent desserts to make it through to the next round, and who will be leaving the competition?
