Great British Buildings: Restoration of the year

Working through a list of incredible restorations put together by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Kevin McCloud and Dr Anna Keay present the most magnificent restoration projects across Britain.

This week the presenters explore the Victorian Category focusing on buildings that have been lovely saved in keeping with their incredible Victorian features.

Anna visits Mount Stewart, an imposing country house in Northern Ireland and the Victorian music hall Wilton’s, in east London. Architectural historian Dr Jonathan Foyle visits the Pump House in Barry, Wales and in Stornoway in the Scottish Highlands, historic building surveyor Marianne Suhr gets under the skin of a medieval-style castle. Finally Kevin and Anna reveal which properties have been shortlisted by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to be crowed over restoration winner.
