Continuing the BBC’s season of programmes on mental health, the former Labour spin doctor looks at the condition that has affected him for over 30 years.

Alastair Campbell has depression, and during his time he has undergone therapy and medication in order to help himself. Here, following encouragement from his family, Campbell looks at the latest scientific developments in treating depression to see if there is anything new out there that can help him.

Among the treatments Campbell investigates include magnetic brain stimulation and hallucinogenic drugs.
