Preview – Anjelica Huston on James Joyce: a Shout in the Street

The actress Anjelica Huston has starred in a few adaptations of the great Irish author’s works in the past, and now presents this profile of James Joyce.

She looks at his troubled background, being raised by an alcoholic father and rejecting his Catholicism, to becoming intimate with a chambermaid on 16th June 1904 – the date which would become the setting of his most famous work, Ulysses – and finally escaping France as it was being invaded by the Nazi’s with his half-Jewish grandson.

Among the people interviewed in this profile are Booker Prize winner Anne Enright and actor Dominic West.
