This week Fiona Bruce and the team make a return visit to Media City, Salford.
Perhaps the most intriguing item presented to the team today is a statue of Buddha. It is not the statue itself that is the main draw however, but how it has been maintained. We learn that it has in the past been cleaned using lemon juice and wire wool. Given that, will this cleaning damage the value?
We also come across a perfume bottle owned by an opera singer, an early animation machine, and possibly the heaviest item ever displayed on the Roadshow – a 10 metre long Canadian totem pole, weighing nearly two tonnes.
Antiques Roadshow is on BBC One at 20.00.
