The story of Concorde is one of great engineering triumph; marred by the tragedy that such a machine is no longer being used.
Coinciding with the opening of the Aerospace museum in Bristol, this documentary looks at the history of Concorde, interview the engineers who created it, the pilots who flew it, and the people who frequently flew on it (e.g. Dame Joan Collins).
There are an investigation of some of the bizarre things that nearly stopped Concorde from happening at all, such as the arguments between the British and French governments about how to name it.
Concorde: a Supersonic Story is on BBC Four at 21.00.
