The story of Elvis’ life and legacy explores his childhood, early musical influences, as well as charting the landmark performances of his career. How the new phenomenon of the celebrity and sex symbol came into being is foundational to our modern sense of media personalities.

We learn about the man behind the legend by speaking to the people who knew him well, and get a picture of someone to whom the demands of others would prove fatal.
