The latest edition of Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith’s anthology series takes us into karaoke booth No. 9.
The characters are a group of office workers who have come to the booth to celebrate the promotion of Roger (Pemberton). However, as the night goes on and the songs become strangely appropriate to the situation, we learn that office politics is in full swing. One of the group, Connie (Tamzin Outhwaite) becomes especially cruel and bullying as the night goes on.
Whether they, along with the other members of the party, Greg (Shearsmith), Fran (Sarah Hadland), Duane (Javone Prince) and deaf Janet (Emily Howlett) can all get through the night without tragedy remains to be seen, but as this is Inside No. 9 the chances are that no-one will make it out unscarred.
Inside No. 9 is on BBC Two at 22.00.
