The highs and the lows of love … or maybe the lows and lows of superficial attraction – depending on how you view the antics around the Love Island villa.
Last night, we said ‘adios’ to Joanna, who showed that while she had capably charmed Michael at Amber’s expense, she wasn’t above ranting like a fish wife when it became clear he wasn’t leaving the villa with her. Boo hoo!
Michael, though, is moping around like a wounded beast, so it will be interesting to see how long his newfound ‘friends for life’ tolerate his moodiness before binning him off to pursue Joanna.
Two falls and a submission decided the Curtis/Maura/Francesca love triangle. The emphatic victor and now proud owner of ballroom-dancing Curtis is Ms Higgins. Never shy in coming forward, Maura picked up her prize, quickly locked tonsils and confided to all the other girls that her lady parts were throbbing as a result.
Maura wears the makeup and the trousers in this particular relationship, no doubt about it, and as couple of new bodies have arrived in the villa, young Curtis is being kept on a tight leash. Failure to comply with his new mistress would be unwise!
Love Island – Tuesday at 9.00pm on ITV2.
