The second series of the show that looks at both tribes and the animals that they live with sees presenter Gordon Buchanan trying to overcome his fear of sharks.

This sees him going to Owarigi in the Solomon Islands, where the locals catch fish by freediving in shark infested waters. Over the course of the programme, Buchanan learns that sharks are not as dangerous as most people make out.

As well as dealing with his own fears, Buchanan looks at how the tribe’s fishing is threatened by commercial fishing and the trade for shark fins.

Tribes, Predators and Me is on BBC Two at 21.00.
