This week’s Question Time is bumped up the schedule for an edition in which the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic is sure to dominate.
Fiona Bruce presents an hour of topical debate from Weston-super-Mare. Panellists include Andy Burnham, Tom Solomon, Frances O’Grady and Angela Hartnett.
Also taking a chair will be the Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, who you may remember winging it from a couple of weeks ago with claims that the government had held detailed talks with supermarkets and supply chains to ensure shelves would be stacked and everyone would have access to food supplies – a claim quickly refuted by senior figures in the supermarket industry.
A seat at the table is of no value if you do not bring the answers the people rightly seek. Let’s hope that Hancock and the panel speak candidly for the good of the country, rather than resorting to the spin and political point scoring.
Question Time – Thursday at 8.00pm on BBC One.
