Execs have already pulled the plug on this TV spin off from the Lethal Weapon films made famous by Danny Glover and Mel Gibson but don’t let that get in the way of enjoying it.
There’s far more energy in the show since the arrival of Sean William Scott as Cole, replacing Clayne Crawford (the guy who played the character of Riggs), but that doesn’t seem to trouble the studio and this will be the last of three seasons.
This week, Cole juggles the realities of the job and his duties to be a good parent, as he and Murtaugh work together to bust a gang running a lottery scam. As Murtaugh gets ready to celebrate his 30th anniversary with the LAPD, he receives a surprise visit from his competitive father-in-law, Don Bennett.
