Narrated by David Attenborough as part of Natural World series, this programme looks are some of fascinating and at times strange wildlife on the Australian island.

The most famous animal there is obviously the Tasmanian devil, but these animals also have a surprisingly gentle side to them. Elsewhere there are white wallabies, caves illuminated by glow-worms, and the Tasmanian giant lobster – the world’s largest freshwater invertebrate. Aside from the animals, there also some very tall trees. 100 metre tall trees to be exact.

Tasmania: Weird and Wonderful is on BBC Two at 21.00.
