Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin star in a gritty war-on-drugs thriller from director Denis Villeneuve (Blade Runner 2049). When the FBI raid a suburban bungalow in the sprawling city of Chandler, Arizona, they make a grisly discovery: partition walls stuffed with the decaying corpses of 42 men and women. The law enforcers also accidentally trigger a booby trap, from which Kate Macer (Blunt), the leader of the Phoenix FBI’s kidnap response team, is lucky to walk away unscathed. The house belongs to Manuel Diaz (Bernardo Saracino), who has strong links to a Mexican drug cartel. Macer agrees to join an operation to take down Diaz and his associates, but soon realises that both her new boss, Matt Graver (Brolin), and his assistant, the foreign lawyer and cartel specialist Alejandro Gillick (Del Toro), are keeping crucial information from her. It proves to be a far more dangerous and disturbing mission than she expected. With Daniel Kaluuya as Macer’s FBI partner.
